USIPv6 Summit, Inc

Innophone.com Inc. announced on August 9 that it entered into a Stock Purchase Agreement to acquire 100% of the equity in IPv6 Summit Inc. Alex Lightman, founder and CEO of IPv6 Summit, Inc. was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Innophone.com Inc.

IPv6 Summit, Inc. and its CEO Alex Lightman are among the few recognized leaders of the emerging IPv6 industry. Mr. Lightman has been prominent in organizing IPv6 events and publishing numerous articles on IPv6, and edits and publishes the international periodical on IPv6, the 6Sense newsletter. He strongly supported the US Congressional Hearing on IPv6, held by the Government Reform Committee and chaired by Congressman Tom Davis (who based the hearing title, To Lead or Follow, on Mr. Lightman’s April 6Sense article calling for leadership on IPv6 by the US government). Mr. Lightman testified at the Hearing, held on June 29, 2005; the Hearing in turn led to the announcement by OMB that the Federal government would move to IPv6 by 2008. Mr. Lightman has also been invited to speak at IPv6 events throughout Europe, Japan, China, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, and has authored over 100 magazine articles related to technology, as well as Brave New Unwired World: The Digital Big Bang and the Infinite Internet, published by Wiley.

The Company is a leading organizer of IPv6 events in the world, and derives revenue from several sources, including sponsorships (it has received support from 44 of the major IT companies in the world), attendee fees (it has generated a large part of global IPv6 attendee fees), training fees (it has put over 1,000 people through its IPv6 training courses to date), and consulting to government (it is one of a small number of contractors to the US Dept. of Defense IPv6 Transition Office).

IPv6 Summit, Inc. is hoping to expand in the 2005-2007 time frame, by offering additional services in conjunction and cooperation with its partners and the v6 community. Possible new services and sources of revenue may include consulting to corporations (by serving the needs of companies seeking to understand the potential of the new technology and to lead their industries in v6), consulting to governments (providing support in planning for and securely transitioning to IPv6), hardware revenue (by acting as a distributor of IPv6 routers and consumer electronics, and pioneering an IPv6-only web store), software revenue (by acting as an online distributor of IPv6 software, including gaming and remote presentations), subscription revenue (by offering IPv6 wireline broadband and wireless services, as an IPv6-centric ISP and WISP service), and information revenue (by setting up a large-scale IPv6 technical information and knowledge portal).
(Innophone.com Inc. is listed on the OTC Bulletin Board as IMEN - News).
